I've been pretty quiet recently...the weather has been so nice (for a change) that I just had to be outside cutting grass & digging over the veggie garden...wish I hadn't done that...I think I used muscles I'd forgotten I had ....I ache absolutely everywhere!
After a day digging & cutting what could be better than a glass of wine & some cheese?.......
If you fancy learning a few "inside" secrets on sculpting with polymer clay why not try my class on April 9th & I'll walk you through the steps to make this very tasty (& 0 calorie!) hollow chocolate egg filled with speckled candy eggs! There are still a few places left so why not come & sign up...you won't be disappointed...I promise!
Hooray a long overdue UFO at last finished.....after making all those marshmallows, I got so fed up that the topiary was banished to my "pending".....in other words half finished...pile! Recently though a good friend of mine happened to remind me of how she loves pink...& that was all I needed to finally finish the poor thing!
Whether you celebrate Easter or not..let's face it...it's a wonderful excuse to eat chocolate! If you fancy trying your hand at making your own zero calorie 12th scale hollow, cracked chocolate egg filled with tiny speckled candy eggs check this out!
I've been busy working through my "stash" of accessories & came across this little double pedestal...think it's only been in my "stash" drawer for a couple of years....somehow it was just calling out to be filled with strawberries for that stylish mini buffet or table centre! It's going on eBay tonight!
So much for Spring & the beginning of March...we are back to freezing night-time temperatures & although the days have been beautiful it's so cold out of the sun that I have been making myself one of my favourite, warming comfort foods.....French onion soup.......both 1:1 & 12th!
That little cheese grater made by Carol Lester actually works too! I'm still trying to make up my mind about which is best....a black background or a white one?
I am honoured to have been made a Fellow member of IGMA, November 2009 & my miniature creations totally absorb me..it's wonderful to see the minute detail that an artist can produce in something so small! I am constantly challenging myself to create more & more realistic & detailed pieces, often finding I've lost a whole day while working on one piece!
